Box Score 2 GAME ONE: Wheaton 3 - WPI 6
RECORDS: Wheaton (4-12, 2-4 NEWMAC) - WPI (15-5, 5-1 NEWMAC)
LOCATION: Worcester, Mass. (Rooftop Field)
THE RUNDOWN:
- Wheaton was led by Junior Emily Schlapak and sophomore Jade Assad. Schlapak scored one run and two RBIs while Assad crossed home twice.
- WPI was led by Ama Biney who scored two runs and an RBI while Marissa Gonzales, Renee LeClaire, RiAnna May, and Erika Wentz each scored one run apiece.
- WPI opened the game up with a homer in the bottom of the first. The Lyons would tie the game up in the top of the second with Assad scoring off a wild pitch. WPI was able to score a run in the second and then continued their momentum into the bottom of the third by scoring four runs, making the game 1-5.
- The Lyons would score one run in the fourth and then once again in the sixth, but it wouldn't be enough to stop the Goats, who finished the game off 6-1.

THE RUNDOWN:
- Shelbi Wilson, Jade Assad, Emily Schlapak, and Allison Cox each scored one run for the Lyons with Assad picking up RBI in the attempt.
- WPI was led Marissa Gonzales and Renee LeClaire who each scored two runs for the Goats. LeClaire would also pick up an RBI in the win.
- WPI started the game up with a run in the bottom of the first. The two teams would trade runs in the second, putting the game at 1-2. The Lyons scored three runs in the fourth, but WPI answered shortly after, scoring four runs over the last two innings of the game to make the final 9-4.
- Wheaton was able to strikeout five compared to WPI's two.
