THE RUNDOWN:
- Wheaton ended the opening half with a 52-45 advantage over the Mount Holyoke College Lyons, thanks to 14 points and 5 rebounds from Sara McLeman, and 9 points apiece from Ruthie Zientek and Mikayla Pucci.
- The second half was more of an even match, as Wheaton only outscored Mount Holyoke, 29-24 over the final 20 minutes. The hosts would reach their largest lead of the day, however, after Natalie Wind hit a three with 4:29 to go in the third to lift the Lyon advantage to 39.
- McLeman and Pucci went on to lead the Lyons overall, as Pucci scored 14 and McLeman notched a 14-point, 10 rebound double-double. Emily Cuthbertson was productive as well, recording 11 points, 5 assists and 5 boards.
- The visiting Lyons were led by a 20-point performance by Raquel Fitzpatrick. Leah Hodges and GraceAnne Woods totaled 12 and 10 points, respectively, to go along with a combined 6 rebounds in the loss.
