AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The Wheaton College baseball team continued to click on all cylinders Monday afternoon with the Lyons earning a 7-0 win over No. 6 Ramapo in game four of the RussMatt Invitational at Lake Myrtle Field. 

Tommy Larason picked up his first win of the season for the Lyons, pitching 6.2 shutout innings, striking out four and surrendering just six hits. First-years Paul McGeehan, Zach Pipa, and Trevor Marques all came in in relief with Marquez closing out the final inning with a strikeout. 

Sophomore Ty Calabro paced the Lyons at the plate, finishing 2-for-4, which included a double. The third baseman also finished with two RBI and two runs scored. 

Wheaton jumped in front wiht a two-out rally in the second. Calabro doubled home Jared Sharkey to put the Lyons in front 1-0. 

Larason settled into a groove after hitting the lead off batter in the second. The sophomore went on to help retire nine of the next 10 batters he faced. 

Wheaton piled on two more runs in the fourth on two hits. Sharkey led off the inning with a single to left, which was followed by a single from Tyler Walsh, that moved Sharkey to third. A wild pitch by the Roadrunners allowed Sharkey to score moments later. Walsh came around to score a couple batters later on a ground out by Calabro. 

The Lyons broke the game open with three runs in the sixth. Joey Santigate led off the inning with a single through the left side, before Ramapo retired the next two batters. Back-to-back errors by the Roadrunners allowed Casey Twomey and Calabro to both reach, while giving Santigate time to come around to score. Chris Ruocco followed up the errors with a double down the left field line that sent both Twomey and Calabro home. 

Nick Raposo's RBI single up the middle in the top of the ninth capped off the scoring for the Lyons. Calabro, who led off with a single to second, came around to score on the play. 

Wheaton has Tuesday off before returning to the field on Wednesday, March 15 against No. 12 Washington University (Mo.) for a 12:45 start.
