Box Score NORTON, Mass. - The Wheaton College men's soccer team shut out the Colby College Mules in a 2-0 win for their fourth straight victory on Sunday at Keefe Field.
The Lyons move to 4-2 overall while the Mules now sit at 1-2. Goalkeeper James Bailey secured his third win of the season.
The first half of the game remained quiet as neither team found an opportunity to score. Defense for the Lyons remained strong with no shots on goal allowed.
Entering the second half, Colby fouled in the 61st minute, giving Wheaton the penalty kick opportunity. Senior Noah Kossoff came through for Wheaton, knocking in the kick for the first goal of the game.
Colby put one shot on goal, but came up empty as sophomore Amara Sesay took control, pushing through another goal to bring Wheaton up 2-0. He was assisted by Kossoff.
The Lyons outshot the Mules 13-6.
Wheaton travels to New England College on Wednesday for their next match. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
