With everything on the line both teams headed into the final set on a mission. Emerson got the scoring started with two quick points, but Wilson responded by scoring Wheaton's first point. Emerson followed that up with three more points to take a 6-1 advantage. Wheaton retaliated with a run of its own, capturing a 10-6 lead.

With the score tied at 13-13, a service error put Wheaton in the lead, allowing them to close out the match 15-13 with the final point coming on a monster kill by Creighton.

Wheaton returns to the court on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in Emerson Gymnasium where they'll host the Coast Guard Academy.
