Madison Flowers joined the Wheaton College Athletics staff in October of 2023 as Assistant Director of Athletics for Recreation & Varsity Administration.
Prior to Wheaton, Flowers was the Assistant Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator at Lesley University in addition to serving as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach.
In her role as Assistant AD/SWA at Lesley, Flowers managed the scheduling and coordination of all home contests, practices and scrimmages and worked closely with assignors to schedule officials for home events. She also served as the Lynx Compliance Coordinator, ensuring that Lesley student-athletes were compliant with both NCAA and North Atlantic Conference policies and protocol. In addition, Flowers oversaw the event management operation for home games while assisting with apparel and equipment orders for the entire department.
Flowers first gained administrative experience within the collegiate setting at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass., where she served in many roles over a five-year period. Flowers’ experience with the college admissions process is extensive after presiding as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Recruitment, Assistant Director of Admissions and Senior Enrollment Counselor in addition to a stint as the Interim Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Eastern Nazarene.
The Kentucky native is well-versed on the coaching side of athletics as well. Flowers doubled the Lesley women’s basketball team’s win total, while increasing its roster size by 40% in her two years with the program. Before her time in Cambridge, Flowers coached for a total of 10 years at Eastern Nazarene as an Assistant Coach before being elevated to Associate Head Coach.
She served as an assistant for the Lions from 2011-16 before being promoted to Associate Head Coach in 2016 and serving in that role through the 2020-21 season. While at ENC, Flowers' teams posted a total of 138 wins and qualified for the postseason in eight of the nine years a tournament was sponsored. Her 2019-20 squad captured the New England Collegiate Conference regular-season title, posting a 13-1 mark in conference play and finishing the season with an overall record of 21-4. Flowers also served as an Assistant Softball Coach for three years on the Quincy campus.
Prior to tenure at Eastern Nazarene, Flowers was an Assistant Coach at Asbury University (D-III) in Kentucky and also coached at the High School level at East Jessamine High School (Ky.).
