Leah Spencer joined Wheaton College as Assistant Director of Athletics Fundraising in November of 2024.
Spencer previously served as the Athletic Director for the Boys & Girls Club of Metro South in Brockton, Mass. While in her hometown of Brockton, she launched and executed a strategic fundraising initiative through sponsorship deals to support fee-for-service programming at the Boys & Girls Club. In addition to her fundraising efforts, she provided strategic and administrative direction for athletic programs and activities as well as overseeing the club's budget and scheduling for all sports and programming. Spencer also managed a team of staff and coaches, enhancing the club's visibility and strengthening its presence within the community.
Prior to her stint with the Boys & Girls Club, Spencer gained experience as the Head Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at St. Mark's School and served as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach for Regis College (Mass.). She also was previously selected to be a member of the NBA Future Basketball Operations Program, a career development initiative that seeks to cultivate the next generation of leaders in basketball operations.
Spencer graduated with a degree in Political Science from Saint Michael's College, where she was an All-Conference guard for the women's basketball team. She also received a Master's degree in Strategic Sports Communication from Regis.
