Kyle Hart is in his 11th year as the Men's Lacrosse Head Coach in 2025-26.
Hart is the winningest men's lacrosse coach in school history with 73 victories and has posted winning records in three of the past five seasons. The Wheaton mentor has directed the Lyons to nine or more wins in 2026, 2024 and 2022.
The Long Island, New York native directed Wheaton to its highest win total (10-5) since 2015, including wins in each of the first seven matches of the season, to mark the best start in school history in 2022. Hart's squad was among the best in the nation in ball control, ranking ninth in clear percentage, while placing 22nd in fewest turnovers committed per outing. The Lyons were able to tighten their defense when it mattered most, standing 12th among the nation's leaders in man-down defense. Hart also coached the first Wheaton player to be selected to play in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Senior All-Star Game since 2004.
The Lyons began the 2026 campaign with a 9-2 record under Hart to equal the best start through 11 games in school history, matching the 1996 squad. Wheaton's defense was extremely stingy throughout the season, allowing just 145 goals in 15 games to rank third in the New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference. The Lyons gave up nine or fewer goals in nine contests during the season.
In 2024, Hart directed Wheaton to the first victory in school history in the NEWMAC Championship Tournament as the number four seed. Following the campaign, Jacob Wharton became the first Wheaton player to earn Scholar All-America honors from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association since 2007.
Hart guided the Lyons to a 4-2 record in 2020 prior to Wheaton's season being cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Lyons mentor led them to an 8-7 overall mark in 2018 saw Wheaton qualify for the 2016 NEWMAC Touranment in 2016, where it battled Springfield College in the semifinals.
Before his tenure in Norton, Hart spent four seasons as the Head Coach for Augustana College (Ill.) and helped guide the men's team to a 42-24 overall record and a NCAA first round appearance. The team posted a combined 14-6 record in the Midwest Lacrosse Conference for two seasons before going 4-1 in the first season of College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin competition in 2015. Hart has coached 22 All-Conference selections over the past three years, including the 2015 CCIW Offensive Player of the Year.
Prior to Augustana, Hart spent three seasons as the assistant coach at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pa. before joining Augustana in the summer of 2010 to lead the start-up program.
Hart graduated from Muhlenberg in May of 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with concentrations in Global Trade and International Business. He was twice selected to the All-Conference team in the Centennial Conference and was Muhlenberg’s first ever all-conference selection.
He assumed the assistant coaching position at Muhlenberg after graduation. In addition, he also served as the Recruiting Coordinator for the Mules.
