Wheaton College (MA)

Josh Sousa begins his fifth year with the Wheaton men's soccer staff as an Assistant Coach working with the team's goalkeepers. 

Under his tutelage, Lyons keeper Diego Medina was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team following the 2021 campaign. Wheaton ranked 43rd in goals against average, allowing just 14 goals for the season, while posting a paltry 0.81 goals against average. The Lyons goalkeeping unit also combined to register an .811 save percentage to stand 43rd among the nation's leaders as well.

Sousa comes from a strong background in soccer including 24 years of playing experience. He has also been the Goalkeeper Coach for the Taunton Eagles SC, Bruno United FC and Saint Raphael Academy Girl’s Soccer.

Sousa is also bilingual in English and Portuguese and certified by the American Red Cross.
