Danielle Morley begins her second stint as the Head Men’s & Women’s Diving Coach at Wheaton for the 2022-23 campaign.
Morley was previously at Wheaton as the diving coach for two seasons from 2003 to 2005. During her time with the Lyons, she experienced success immediately, coaching all of her first-year divers to a level of excellence that included them qualifying to compete at the New England Women’s & Men’s Athletic Conference Championship. She also served as a diving consultant to the College of Wooster diving team, while she was at Wheaton.
Following her tenure on the Norton campus the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth alum returned home to serve as the Corsairs Head Diving Coach for four seasons. In just her first campaign in Dartmouth as a coach, Morley guided one of her male divers to the gold medal stand at the New England Intercollegiate Swimming & Diving Association Championships. Morley was named the NEISDA Coach of the Year following the 2010 NEISDA Championships.
Prior to her collegiate coaching career, Morley served as a Gymnastics Instructor in Norwood, Mass. for three years and a spent a three-year residence as a Youth Diving Coach in North Dartmouth, Mass.
Morley was an outstanding collegiate diver in her own right and was named to the UMass Dartmouth Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. She was a three-time NCAA Division III Championship qualifier and captured three Little East Conference championships, while setting the LEC one-meter diving record during her career. In addition, she was twice named the NEISDA Diver of the Meet, was the NEISDA three-meter board champion and also owned the UMass Dartmouth record on both the one and three-meter boards.
She graduated from UMass Dartmouth in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and went on to earn a Masters of Education degree in Counseling with a concentration in Sport Psychology from Boston University in 2006.
