Ash Hill

Ash Hill joins the Wheaton College women's soccer staff in 2022-23 for his first season with the Lyons.

A native of the United Kingdom, Hill has coached soccer for the past ten years, primarily working with keepers and will serve as Wheaton's Goalkeeper Coach. 

In addition, to his role with Wheaton, he also serves as the Head Coach and Goalkeeper Director for the Scorpions Soccer Club.

Hill has coached both in the United States and in the UK. He spent five years as an Academy Coach with Challenger Sports in The US. coaching players of all levels, including high school, while training other coaches. He earned the Academy's Coach of the Year honor in 2018 for his efforts. He also traveled the U.S. as an Academy Coach for Southampton International Academy Camps in Baltimore, Md., serving as an instructor at various training camps.

Following his coaching stint in the States, Hill brought his base of knowledge back to the UK, where he was the Head Coach for the Under 11 squad at West Bromwich Development Academy in Gloucester. He led the team to the Junior Premier League Cup Final at England's national training pitch at St. George's Park in England, while helping to develop technical and tactical skills and helping each individual player to reach their respective potential.

Hill also held the Goalkeeper Coach post for the Leicester City Foxes Development Center, while serving as the Head Coach for the College Under 18 Cheltenham Town Soccer Club Community Trust in his most recent role from 2020-21. While at Cheltenham, he helped the program transition from futsal to a full 11 vs. 11 program and established them into the league.

Hill enjoyed a playing career at the semi-professional level from 2011-17, seeing time with Hellenic Premier Step 9 in the English Football Pyramid. 

A graduate of Hartpury College in Gloucester, England, Hill played in the ECFA West Midlands League for Hartpury. He holds a number of coaching qualifications in soccer and futsal including UEFA B.
