CAREER HONORS: School record holder in multiple events... College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Team Scholar All-America list award (Fall '14). NEWMAC Team Sportsmanship Award (’15-16).
BEFORE WHEATON: Attended Waterville Senior High School... two-sport athlete competing in swimming (3 years) and track (4 years)... lettered in both sports... Panthers went undefeated during his senior season in swimming... track and field team won the state championship twice, while going during the 2011 season... Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference (KVAC) All-Conference three times… KVAC Outstanding Male Swimmer of the Meet in 2013... earned high honors all four years... won the Renaissance award.
PERSONAL: Son of Karen Kurtz and Donald Zarfos... would like to recognize Elizabeth Schiller... has one sibling, Adam who competed for the Franklin and Marshall swimming and diving team... majoring in chemistry... earned Community Scholar honors... aspires to break the breaststroke records at Wheaton and become an All-American... chose to attended Wheaton because of the campus, the new science center and the high medical school acceptance rate... Davis International Fellow (shadow and assist doctors in public hospitals in Portugal and teach English in the local community through The Atlantis Project.)
