Hosting prospective student-athletes to Wheaton College often plays a crucial role in the college decision-making process. Visiting students should select Wheaton College because of its vast academic, athletic and social opportunities.
It is important you remember that the ultimate goal of any recruit's visit is to help your coach find student-athletes who can help make your team more successful and is a good fit for Wheaton College.
It is important that a "host" adheres to the following guidelines:
Provide a safe environment for the recruit(s). Each host and recruit must meet with their coach upon arrival and review and sign the expectation form. All recruits and hosts must follow college policy and in-season rules. Remember that you are responsible for representing Wheaton College and the athletics program in a positive manner.
Social Media
As a current student-athlete you must adhere to all NCAA rules surrounding the recruitment of a prospective student-athletes (PSA). NCAA rules prohibits publicizing the recruitment of a prospective student-athlete and you are not allowed to post images or names of any PSA. All communication between current student-athletes and prospective student-athletes should be limited to private messaging on all social media outlets.
