THE RUNDOWN:
- The Wheaton College field hockey team fell 3-1 on the road this afternoon at Mount Holyoke College.
- Wheaton was the only team on the board through the first three quarters after Karin Dion registered her 5th of the season off of a ball from Hannah Arkin less than three minutes in.
- Mount Holyoke converted for a pair of goals in the fourth quarter to take the lead between the 47th and 49th minute of play. Kylie Brooks scored first with an assist from Mirei Golding-Powers just before Kass Lawrence found the back of the net, unassisted.
- Brooks struck again for MHC's third goal of the day with less than four minutes in regulation and out of reach for the visiting Lyons.
- Wheaton's Melissa Jernakoff notched two defensive saves throughout the game, in addition to a defensive save for Courtney Foley.
- Morgan Karnes picks up 12 saves while her counterpart, Morgan Turner, registered three.
