THE RUNDOWN:
- The Wheaton College field hockey team fell to Wellesley College, 3-0, in the Lyons' final contest of the 2018 season this afternoon in Wellesley. Wheaton finishes the season at 5-11, while the Blue improve to 7-10.
- Haley Chrobock scored first off of a feed from Carson Dennis at the top of the circle in the 15th minute of the game to put the Blue on top, 1-0.
- Dennis doubled the Wellesley lead with just under 5 minutes to go in the first half, as she collected a slip from Maggie King and put the ball past a diving goalie at 30:06.
- Wellesley scored their third and final goal, a penalty corner goal, with just 12 seconds remaining in regulation after Cecie Negron received theball from the top of the circle and slipped to Paige Hauke on the left post.
- Morgan Karnes turned aside four of Wellesley's attempts on net in the complete 70 minute effort, while Janelle Sullivan earned the win with one save.
