THE RUNDOWN:
- After falling behind 1-0 in the 11th minute, Karin Dion pulled Wheaton even with her first goal of the season. The score came off a pass from first-year Hannah Arkin in the 24th minute of action.
- Mount Holyoke broke the 1-1 deadlock in the second half with goals in the 45th and 50th minutes.
- Now trailing 3-1, Wheaton pulled within a goal on an Arkin put away. The first-year netted her second goal of the season off a pass from senior Hannah Southard. The assist is the second of the year for Southard. Southard sent a cross through traffic to the goal mouth, where Arkin tipped it into goal.
- Mount Holyoke responded in the last 10 minutes of the game with two more goals.
- Riley Thompson played a complete game in goal for Wheaton, coming up with 12 saves. Morgan Turner collected the win for MHC after making two stops.
- Senior Hailey Kohler and first-year Melissa Jernakoff each came up with a defensive save for Wheaton.
